Achtung Deutschland! Exhibition in Berlin.

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 28, 2009, 4:41 PM

Very, very glad to make public my participation on this Collaborative Exhibition "Venus in Eco Furs" at the OkiDoki Gallery, in Berlin, Germany. The opening shall be in November 14th to December 7th. Afterwards there could be the possibility to bring it in tour after the exhibition in Berlin. I'll stay tunned to inform...

About

VENUS IN ECO-FURS is a project by Res Pira on the connection between Femininity and Nature.

Every Artist invited to take part at the exhibition will present 4 self-portraits, based on the parallelism between lunar phases/woman’s ages/menstrual cycle/the 4 seasons.
°°° Spring: the beautiful innocent girl, the energy of renewal and inspiration, the increasing moon and the pre-ovulatory phase of a woman; this phase is identified with the “Virgin”.
°°° Summer: the full moon is represented by the energy of fecundity, it’s the phase of development and ovulation; here identified by the image of the “Mother”.
°°° Autumn: the decreasing moon indicates the withdrawal of energy, the release of an ovule that, if not fecundated, opens the way to that creativity unconnected from reproduction. This is the phase of the “Enchantress”, or an image of a sexually powerful woman who possesses a deep seductive power.
°°°Winter: a period of destruction and transformation, an “obscure” phase corresponding to the black moon, the menstrual phase, the “Witch”.

LIST OF THE ARTISTS SELECTED FOR THE EXHIBITION

Alessia Cocca | Anna Bodnar | Anna Palmer | Berenice Kesselring | Chiara Coccorese | Chiara Mazzocchi | Cristina Francov | Friedriska | Giulia Cassano | Lia G | Luiza LaPupazza | Maria Semmer | Sara Lando | Stralska Stralks | Urszula Klutz Knopeck

Featured in Abraxas: Journal of Esoteric Studies

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 25, 2009, 12:26 PM

Glad to say Ive been included on this International Esoteric printed product; Featuring "Apócrifo", here I announce that the release date shall be on October 30th 2009, holding a launch party for our new arrival on the eve of Samhain at the now legendary Treadwells Bookshop. Fabulous company, eccentric moments and all manner of nibbles and libations will be served!

About ABRAXAS:

Treadwells and Fulgur are delighted to announce the first issue of our new esoteric journal ABRAXAS is now in press. In keeping with our intent, writers and artists have kindly submitted material from across the globe: Australia, the United States, Mexico, Italy and the United Kingdom are keenly represented.

Nearly all the material is published for the first time. Here may be found inspiring essays from luminaries within the esoteric community, many of them written especially for the journal. Artists too are well represented, both established masters and emerging talents: a feast for the eyes and soul. Our poets include Allyson Shaw, Zachary Cox and, from beyond the veil, Aleister Crowley, whose evocative verse ‘Babalon’ finally finds itself in print more than sixty years after it was written.

Produced in a large quarto format, with 128 pages printed on high quality paper and richly illustrated in colour and monochrome, we hope Abraxas will offer you a strange mirror through which may be glimpsed the zeitgeist of the global occult community today.

To Hell and Back

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 25, 2009, 4:57 PM

Thank to all of you for your comments, messages, features, and so on. I apologize for not answering.. Ive read to everyone and I'll answer to you very soon :)

Sharing some news, I decided to keep "The Uncertain Page" specially for a printed Esoteric publication (www.fulgur.co.uk) on wich Ive been featured this equinox with my piece "Apocrifo", but its almost a fact that I'll present the full collection in a further number.
This will be the first exhibition, to call it that way; and thats why I thought would be very suitable to make it public only through that medium. Besides, the publication is very rich and fascinating... I couldnt ask better place to show it. I really doubt to bring them to a larger presentation, but lets see what happens.

Yet, the chance of showing a public exhibition with recent works isn't discarted in any way. My absence has had a why and I really would like to show why I've been hiding. Anyway, the place to open the exhibition will be Guadalajara, México and further, what actions dictate.

I want to give public thanks to Robert Ansell and Exiff for the provided support. And all of you for stayin' tuned and supporting.

pd. I remember to my friends and public, that Im selling pieces from the Oniric Bitacore, my first stage of work. Not all of them are available (9 of 10 and paper variation) but gladly I will give you any information you want about prices, materials, shipping (in the given case) and more technical data.
